Day 50 The lampstand and the story of the talents

Do you remember the story of the talents in Matt 25? 10, 5, and one talent.

The person with the one talent, despised it and hid it, not putting it to use. He was scolded and his talent given to the guy who started out with 10 talents.

If he realized that the lampstand and all the ornaments buds and blossoms and accessories were made out of one talent of gold, would he have despised it?

Matt 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Zechariah 4:2 ff "I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lights on it, with seven channels to the lights. 3 Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left."
verse10 "Who despises the day of small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel."(These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range throughout the earth.)"

"Who despises the day of small things? Is this our day of doing something small for another?

Go on hum the tune, this little light of mine!
