Matt 14. Feeding the 5 thousand
I wonder where they got the baskets from? the story gives the impression that people followed Jesus without much thought for food shelter etc. would people naturally have baskets with them on a whim?
I found it odd.
Jesus didn't have time to mourn the loss of his cousin, John the Baptist. John's disciples were in need of a shepherd and now naturally turned to follow Jesus. In Jesus bereavement, he has compassion on the people and feeds them.
